What is this course for?
Advanced Open Water Diver is designed to build real-world diving experience directly in the ocean under professional mentorship.
You’ll complete Deep Diving (up to 30m / 100ft) and Underwater Navigation, plus three elective Adventure Dives tailored to your personal interests.
What you'll learn

- Develop advanced dive planning, gas management, and deep situational awareness.
- Master deep-diving limits, pressure considerations, and conservative profile management.
- Navigate with precision using natural ocean landmarks and magnetic compass bearings.
- Gain hands-on experience in three specialty areas such as Peak Performance Buoyancy, DSMB, Nitrox, Sidemount, Drift, Rescue or Night Diving.
- Elevate your underwater trim, efficiency, and comfort under task loading.

PREPARE
Complete the relevant knowledge reviews and understand the objectives, risks and planning considerations for each Adventure Dive.

EXPLORE
Complete five Adventure Dives, including Deep and Underwater Navigation plus three elective dives.

DEVELOP
Use each dive to build experience, identify strengths and decide which specialty skills are worth developing further.
