What is this course for?
Assistant Instructor (AI) is the first portion of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC).
Prerequisite: Certified PADI Divemaster (or equivalent) with at least 60 logged dives. You learn how to teach in classroom, pool, and open water settings under an Instructor Trainer.
What you'll learn

- Prepare and deliver engaging classroom knowledge development presentations.
- Conduct effective confined water skill demonstrations and student evaluation.
- Present open water teaching presentations under professional supervision.
- Earn teaching credentials for specific PADI programs (Peak Performance Buoyancy, AWARE, etc.).
