What is this course for?
Open Water Diver is where you transform into a confident, self-sufficient diver.
Taught at DYVUM’s signature low student-to-instructor ratio with personalised feedback, you develop the knowledge, equipment mastery and good habits to plan and conduct dives with a buddy anywhere in the world.
What you'll learn

- Assemble, adjust, and maintain your personal scuba equipment correctly.
- Achieve precise buoyancy control, streamlined trim, and effortless movement.
- Plan and execute dives with a buddy, including depth limits, air management, and navigation.
- Build calm situational awareness and practice effective problem-prevention techniques.
How it works

LEARN
Complete your PADI eLearning and understand the essential principles, risks and safe practices of recreational scuba diving.

TRAIN
Develop and practise your core scuba skills in confined water until you can perform them comfortably and consistently.
03
DIVE
Apply those skills in open water, progressing from supervised training towards planning and managing dives more independently with your buddy.
What you'll need

- Complete the PADI Diver Medical form before in-water training; physician clearance may be required depending on your responses.
- Be comfortable in the water and complete the required swim and float assessments.
- No personal scuba equipment is required when taking the standard DYVUM package.
